Latta Head Coach Kelly Williamson

In his third year as head coach of the Latta Vikings, Kelly Williamson took a program that had not won five games in the previous five seasons before he took over the helm to finishing with a 7-3 record, earning him the Lower State Class A Coach of the Year honors.

Williamson has put in place an outstanding group of assistant coaches that work together as a team. Coach Williamson gives credit to his assistant coaches and his players for the successful season.

Coach Williamson began his coaching career as an assistant with his cousin, Jackie Hayes, in 1994 through 2001 at Dillon High School. He was the first coach of the Dillon Christian School Warriors in 2002. Williamson guided the Warriors to one lower state title and two state championships.

Coach Williamson has many of the old Red Raider fans smiling as Latta prepares for their first playoff appearance since 2003.
