Woodmen Life Chapter 120 Holds Productive Meeting

Woodmen Life Vice-President David Longacre, County Council Chairwoman Detrice Dawkins, and President Paige Smith

The Woodmen Life Chapter 120 had a productive meeting on Thursday evening.
Paige Smith, president, gave the welcome followed by Barbara Causey with the opening prayer.
David Longacre led the pledge of allegiance. Everyone enjoyed dinner following the opening. There was also a birthday celebration for Mildred Ball.
After dinner, the secretary’s report and treasurer’s report were given. A report was given by Longacre on the Woodmen Chapter Building sale status.
The group decided on their Common Bond Quarterly Projects. They will hold a food drive during Quarter One, do a Patriotism project during Quarter Two, collect school supplies during Quarter Three, and hold Shop With A Cop during Quarter Four.
They briefly spoke about the great success of Shop With A Cop.
Field Rep reports were given.
Important dates were reviewed by Smith. The important dates included: February 2-Groundhog Day, February 2-Woodmen Regional Conference for Field Reps (office closed), February 3-Democratic Presidential Primary, February 14-Valentine’s Day, February 14-Ash Wednesday, February 17-2024 Hearts of Dillon Gala sponsored by the Logistics of Hustling, February 19-President’s Day (All banks, government, and Woodmen offices closed), February 24-Republican Presidential Primary, February 28-Woodmen Meeting at Southern Fried, March 10-Daylight Saving Time ends, March 17-St. Patrick’s Day, March 19-First Day of Spring, March 24-Palm Sunday, March 28-Woodmen Meeting at Southern Fried, March 29-Good Friday (Woodmen Offices Closed), and March 31-Easter Sunday.
Prayer requests were then accepted. After the prayer requests, the meeting was adjourned.
