Clarence Fredrick Hamilton, 80, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home. Born in Dillon County, SC, July 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Wattie William Hamilton and Edna Whittington Hamilton Moody. He retired from Southern Bell, and was a former member of the Dillon Jaycees. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, gardening, and fishing. He was a good friend.
Survivors include his son, Steve Hamilton (Angela) of Dillon; daughter, Rhonda Hamilton of Dillon; grandson, Troy Davis (Victoria) of Dillon; granddaughter, Lindsay Hamilton; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 grand-puppies; brother, Lacy Hamilton of Inman, SC; sisters, Harriett Marie Walker of Sumter, SC, Frances Surrett of Weaver, AL, and Sharon Smith of Conway, SC.
Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his son, Scottie Hamilton; and his brother, Wattie W. Hamilton, Jr.
