Fourth Installment Of Unity In The Community Held

The Unity In The Community held the fourth meeting for the 2023 season at Pyerian Baptist Church on Sunday, September 24.
Dr. James Orr of Pyerian Baptist Church welcomed everyone and read Psalm 133 followed by prayer.
A congregational hymn, “Brethen, We Have Met To Worship”, was led by Dr. Orr.
The Second Baptist Church choir, led by choir leader Stephanie Stokes, sang 3 gospel songs of which Imirah Walters was featured as a solo artist accompanied by the choir.
After prayer, Pastor Richie Hicks of Second Baptist Church delivered the message from Luke 17 entitled “Shadows of Things To Come”, a prophecy on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was always talking about the spiritual. Multitudes were amazed at His teachings. At this point and time, Jesus had been ministering to the Pharisees. Jesus attempted to get the Pharisees to open their eyes. The Pharisees were only interested in the law. The Pharisees did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah. There is so much godlessness in the world today. When Jesus comes again, the church will be “asleep”.
We should want to come to the House of God to worship Him.
John 3:3 KJV: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Those left behind will experience darkness. Jesus will return for his Church like a thief in the night.
Our God is alive. We can praise Him and thank Him.
You must repent and be born again.
An invitation was given at the conclusion of the sermon followed by the Benediction.
Pyerian Baptist Church is located at 2813 Pyerian Road, Latta, S.C.
