The 4-0 Lake View Lady Wild Gators varsity volleyball team won 3-1 over the visiting West Florence Lady Knights in Lake View on Tuesday, August 29.
The players, coaches, and fans endured the heat in the gym while enjoying great match-ups.
Although the Wild Gators dropped the first set 13-25, they fought back and won 3 straight sets as follows: set 2, Lake View 25 and West Florence 18; set 3, Lake View 25 and West Florence 23; and set 4, Lake View 25 and West Florence 19.
The Wild Gators’ Emma King had 44 assists, 1 ace, 3 kills, and 8 digs while Raven Locklear had 2 aces, 14 kills, and 10 digs. Jaleya Ford had 7 kills, 3 blocks, and 3 digs. Zy’Kiara Waters had 7 kills, 2 blocks, and 3 digs.
Lake View will travel to Latta on Tuesday, September 5, with game time at 6:00 p.m.

The West Florence Lady Knights came from behind to defeat the Lake View Lady Wild Gators 2-1 in junior varsity volleyball played in Lake View on Tuesday, August 29.
Lake View took set 1 25-20 but West Florence took set 2 25-17 to force a third set. In the third set, the West Florence Lady Knights got off to a great start, and Lake View was unable to catch up and lost 15-6. Lake View will travel to Latta to face in-county rival at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5.
