Lake View stand-out Thomas Logan Jones signed with Guilford College of Greensboro, N.C., on Thursday, April 13, at Lake View, S.C.
Jones was surrounded by family, friends, and coaching staff as he signed at the next level to further his education and his football career.
Jones has played football since he was 7 years old and looks forward to continuing playing the game. He was influenced by his Father, Tommy. He has concentrated his efforts on becoming the best in football as this is the only sport he plays.
He will always recall the time he scored 5 touchdowns in 1 game!
He feels he should fit well with the Guildford College Quakers as he has fallen in love with the campus and the coaches. Jones believes that being coachable is one of the most important qualities he can take from the high school level to the next level in his career.
Jones is a versatile player who excels as a wide receiver, a running back, a defensive back, and a long snapper and offers a great deal to any football program.
While playing with the Lake View Wild Gators, he was an All-Region athlete.
Jones will major in sports management.
While Jones is not practicing or playing football or studying, he enjoys hunting, working out, and spending time with family.
Jones’ parents, Nicole and Tommy, are very proud of their son and his accomplishments. “We look forward to his future accomplishments at the next level not only in football but also in his academics.”
The Lake View coaches: Coach King, Coach Herlong, Coach Ham, Coach Ford, Coach C, Coach L, Coach Dew, and Coach Ford are very proud of his accomplishments while at Lake View High School. “He was a great asset on our football program. We look forward to his future accomplishments” stated the coaches.
Lake View’s Assistant Athletic Director Brandy Huggins remarked “It has been a pleasure having Logan on our football program and at our high school. We know he will continue to do his very best, and we are expecting only great accomplishments from him in the future.”
