Our dear mother, Freida Love, 88, of Jacksonville, died Friday, December 30th at her home. She was a loving mother who was always there when we needed her.
Visitation and Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6th at Tar Landing Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Marshburn officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. with the service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Onslow Memorial Park.
Mother was born August 12, 1934 in Dillon County, SC. She was the daughter of Mac Duffie Harrelson and Ruby Meares Lane Harrelson.
She was a member of Tar Landing Baptist Church, Past Matron of Jacksonville Chapter No. 327, Order of Eastern Star, Peace Court No. 18, Order of the Amaranth. She was dedicated to her family and church, serving in many different capacities through the years. She was loved by many friends in her community and will truly be missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years,, Raeford Love, Sr., her brother, William David Lane and sisters, Doris Grice Sessoms, MarySue Thomas and Helen Rogers.
Survivors include her two sons, Raeford Love Jr. and his wife, Barbara, and Hal Tracy Love and his wife, Melinda; two grandchildren, Lola Ellen Love McPartland of England and Lance Evan Love of Jacksonville; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Love of Jacksonville and Annabelle Carolina McPartland of England; and one sister, Iris Mackett of Buffalo, NY.
