Congratulations to Ms. Katreia Horne, Stewart Heights Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Horne, a first grade teacher, has been teaching for 19 years and has exclusively worked in Dillon District Four.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Francis Marion University. She loves teaching the primary age group and watching them learn and understand new concepts. She finds if fulfilling to see how the students progress from the beginning of the school year to the end of the school year. Her mission is to instill a love for learning within her students, as she wants them to become lifelong learners and always have an excitement for knowledge.
Ms. Horne is the mother of three beautiful children, Trevin, Mara, and Evan.
