The Lake View Town Council passed the first reading of Ordinance 2022-03 to “restrict open carry at certain organized events and on Town of Lake View properties in accordance with the Open Carry with Training Act.”
It was noted during the meeting that towns have the authority to restrict open carry on town property and town permitted events.
The motion to approve the first reading was made by Councilman David Kitchens. The second was made by Councilwoman Mitsey Church. All council members approved.
