The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office recently held a successful blood drive for The Blood Connection. Seventeen pints of blood were collected. For every pint, three lives are saved so the amount of blood collected will help save 51 lives. The Blood Connection is an independently managed, not-for-profit, community blood center that provides blood products to more than 80 hospitals within Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The Blood Connection works diligently to collect blood from volunteer donors to meet the ever-increasing demand. Pictured in bottom left photo is Sheriff’s Office Deputy Russell Hubbard.
