Jack Arnold Cox

Jack Arnold Cox went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, December 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Snead Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born September 21, 1947 in Hamer, SC to Preston “Rub” and Leola Cox. He attended Dillon County Schools and in high school drove school buses. He then went on to work at Herald Multiforms as a pressman for 45 years.
While there, he met the love of his life, the former Diane Jones. They were married on July 26, 1980 and were married 41 years. To this wedded union they were blessed with three beautiful children.
He also was the treasurer and volunteer fireman with Oakland Fire Department for 31 years until his health started to decline.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Diane Cox of Hamer, SC; his children, Kevin (Madison) Cox of Dillon SC, Jennifer Dawn Cox (Antwan Jackson) of Floyd Dale, SC; Preston (Celia) Cox of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Allyssa Owens of Columbus, Ohio, David (Jayme) Cox of Wagram, NC, Eli Cox of the home, Cheyene Cox of McColl, SC, Serenity Cox of Dillon, SC; Jayla and Londyn Cox of Floyd Dale, SC; Rian, Leola, Idella, and Asher Cox all of Conway, SC; three great-grandchildren, Tristan Cox of Blenheim, SC, Avery Cobb of McColl, SC and Raiden Cox of Wagram, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in hopes to help those battling this horrible disease.
The family would like to thank Pamela Jones who sat with daddy/Jack for the past year, and to Shannon Carter, Jere Brice, and Stephanie with Agape Care South Carolina for their care the past 3 months. We couldn’t thank you enough.
