HAMER—Services for Eugene “Oot” McNeil were held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. McNeil, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, April 20, 1949, he was the son of Alma McNeil and the late Luther McNeil. He was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church, and was retired from SLED and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie McNeil of Hamer; mother, Alma McNeil; daughters, Susan M. McKenzie (B.J.), Debbie Taylor and Cheryl Goodreau (Eddie); grandchildren, Cody McKenzie (Katie), Matthew Turner, Clayton Turner, Brooke Smith, Blake Becker, and Hanna Grace Hyatt; step-daughter, Alicia Wallace.
