Nyeisha (Ny) and Quiesah Angelic (Qy) Wilson signed to play softball and further their education at the next level at Morris College of Sumter, S.C., on Tuesday, June 1, at the Dillon High School Gym.
Dillon High School Head Softball Coach Stevie Grice welcomed those in attendance to this festive occasion. Ny and Qy have been starters for Dillon High School for 5 years.
Coach Grice thanked everyone for being present and thanked the twins for their contributions to the softball program at Dillon High School where presently the team is playing Seneca High School for the AAA state championship of which the twins play an important role.
Coach Grice commented “We are very proud of these young ladies, and we wish them the best as they continue their softball careers and education.”
Both of these young ladies have been playing softball for many years. In fact, Ny since she was 7 years old, and Qy has played for all of her life.
Both have been influenced by Mom, Dad, Family, and lots of coaches in the sport of softball. Both have concentrated only in softball and have been very successful.
Both have enjoyed the game and the association they enjoy with teammates, friends, and the great coaches that have taught them.
Ny and Qy both received offers from such schools as Allen University and FMU but elected to go to Morris College where friends and relatives are already there. Both are happy that the school is nearby home so they can retain great relationships with family and friends…and maybe some will attend some games at Morris College.
Both will leave Dillon High School softball with great attitudes.
Ny plays left field, and Qy plays center field.
Ny will major in Early Childhood Development, and Qy will major in Nursing.
Both have received honors such as All Rookie, All Region, All State, and MVP.
Ny enjoys shopping as Qy does, too. However, Qy enjoys playing with her niece…and I am almost certain that Ny does, too.
Their parents, Sheila Wilson and U. L. Graves, are extremely proud of their twins. “The twins have given us so much pleasure watching them enjoy softball. We are proud of their accomplishments and look forward to their futures not only in sports but also in their educations”.
Both twins are appreciative of what the coaches: Stevie Grice, Twin Lester, and Norman Quick, have taught them.
The Dillon High School coaching staff had only great things to say about Ny and Qy. The coaches are very proud of Ny’s and Qy’s accomplishments, both on and off the playing field. “We expect only good things from them in the future. We know they will be very productive at the next level and help Morris College’s softball program”.
