Wildcats Hand Loss To Gators

The Dillon Wildcats handed the visiting Lake View Wild Gators a 48-36 loss in Dillon on Tuesday, January 19, in varsity boys basketball action.
The Wildcats held a 9-4 lead at the end of the first period of play. At halftime Dillon held a 7-point lead, 18-11. After 3 periods of play, Dillon was up 30-22.
Dillon’s D. Bethea led all scorers with 14 points while connecting on six 2-point baskets and sinking 2 free throws. B. McKinnon sank four 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket for 11 points. J. Cabbagestalk placed 10 points on the scoreboard by connecting on a 3-point basket, three 2-point baskets, and a free throw. C. Wright added six points on three 2-point baskets. C. Brayboy had a 2-point basket and a free throw to score 3 points. C. J. Bethea and Z. Bethea each sank a 2-point basket.
Lake View’s D. J. Bethea led his team with 13 points on five 2-point baskets and one 3-point basket. Garrett Vaught had a 3-point basket, a 2-point basket, and 2 free throws for his 7 points while Michael McInnis added 6 points in the game on a 3-point basket, a 2-point basket, and a free throw. Marquise Johnson added 4 points to the scoreboard on a 2-point basket and 2 free throws. Da’Correus Ford had a 2-point basket and a free throw for 3 points while Raejan Rogers sank a 3-point basket. Lake View committed 3 fouls in the first half and 5 fouls in the second half.
