Spirit Of Giving Abounds At Holiday Toy And Food Drive Packing Event

The spirit of giving abounded at The Dillon Herald’s Annual Toy Drive held in conjunction with Palmetto Leadership Dillon County and the Dillon County United Way.
Several members of the Palmetto Leadership Dillon County class participated in a packing event last Thursday of the toys to be distributed at the toy drive handout. They also assisted with the packing of food bags for Help For Veterans.
Here are a few of their thoughts on what this means to them:
“It was truly a blessing to work with people who care so much about the community. It is so fulfilling to know that Christmas will be brighter for those children.”—April Tucker
“The joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to you. Happy Holidays.”—Tina Scott
“Such a great experience to be a part of! Warmed my heart to know the kids would wake up to these toys on Christmas!”—Elizabeth Snipes
“I am thankful to have been able to assist with the packing of food items for Veterans and the Toy Drive for children in Dillon County. Our county truly came together and has shown what the real meaning of Christmas is all about.” —Erin Brown
The Dillon Herald and Help For Veterans are grateful for their assistance in packing for this event.
