Santa Visits Fork Presbyterian Family Night

Contributed Article
On Wednesday, December 9, Fork Presbyterian Church had their Family Night. We opened with prayer for all of the people with COVID-19 and for all who were sick or in the hospital or in the nursing homes. When our pianist, Laura Britt, started playing “Here Come Santa Claus” to everyone’s surprise, the front door flew open and Mr. and Mrs. Claus came bouncing in! They stopped by the pews and spoke with everyone.
Sandra Perritte was at the front and showed Santa where he could sit while the children came to get their gifts from him. Mrs. Santa and Sandra Perritte helped Santa distribute the gifts to all the adults who had been good! It seems that everyone had been especially good this year.
After everyone had received their gift from Santa, they waved good-bye to him because he had to get back to the North Pole.
Rev. Anderson had a blessing for the meal, and everyone enjoyed the fellowship and the meal. Our next Family Night will be the second Wednesday night in January at 7 p.m.
