Phyllis Arnette Price, 70, of Dillon, SC returned to her heavenly home on Monday, June 29, 2020.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2nd at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Phyllis was born in Dillon, SC on May 6, 1950 to the late Floyd and Vera Mae Arnette. She was blessed with a loving family. She married her best friend, Charles “Joe” Price on November 5, 1971. Together they owned a family business, Family Sport Center, for over 35 years. Phyllis was a lifelong and faithful member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church . She served in various roles in the church and she was a true example of a Christian lady. She will be remembered for her gentle nature, nurturing love and devotion to her family and friends and “blueberry cheesecake” ministry.
Her family is what she cherished most in the world. She is survived by her husband, Joe Price, with whom she recently celebrated 48 years of marriage; her three children Lance (Stacie) Price of Florence, Lorrie (Rusty) Bethea of Hartsville and Megan (Josh) Puryear of Florence. Her greatest joy came from being Mimi to her six grandchildren: Kiersten and Ellery Price, Eden and Price Bethea, and Collins and Coleman Puryear. Phyllis was also survived by her loving sister, Ginger Berry. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tammie Arnette Clark and brother, Wayne Arnette.
