Graveside services for Shirley Mae Powers were held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Little Bless Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Powers, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her son’s residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, April 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Hope Cook and Donnie Miller Cook. She was a member of Mallory Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Cogswell of Latta; sons, Raeford Powers, Tonny Powers (Wanda), both of Latta, Roger Powers (Kim) of Blenheim, Tonya Hayes (Rodney) of Latta; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph “Bean” Cook, Alan Cook, Buddy Cook, and Nab Cook, sisters, Bonnie McDowell, Cathy Stewart, Linda Lumus, Glenda Cook, and Dorothy Powers.
Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her husband, Raiford Powers; son, Tyrone Powers; and grandson, Christopher Hayes.
