Patient Health Is Priority For Dillon Internal Medicine

Dillon Internal Medicine does not have their own telehealth services for their patients separate from what McLeod is offering.
However, general patients (not previously established with Dillon Internal) who have fever, cough, and shortness of breath should continue to seek assistance through McLeod Telehealth or other SC DHEC recommended testing sites.
The health of their patients and the health of their staff are our highest priority. With that in mind, we’ve implemented new measures. If you are experiencing a fever, cough and/or shortness of breath, please schedule a telehealth visit through Follow My Health (our patient portal) or with one of our providers through telephonic means and/or Facetime. HIPAA guidelines have been temporarily lifted during the pandemic and will allow them to use smart phone technology. This will allow your provider to see you virtually and not risk unnecessary exposure to others.
Most insurances are allowing telehealth visits with limited out of pocket cost for the patient. You may contact your insurance carrier to check on the benefits allowed by your plan or call our office for assistance.
Dillon Internal continues to be available for routine care unrelated to COVID-19, and telehealth visits are available for these services as well as face to face visits by appointment only. You must call for an appointment or schedule through Follow My Health regardless of the problem you are having We are available to answer our patients’ questions and concerns.
For our current patients to schedule an appointment via our Follow My Health patient portal you must have an account. It is as simple as giving us your email address. We will load your email address into your existing account with us and send you an invite in return. Once you receive the invite and have downloaded the Follow My Health app on your smart phone or tablet, click the “Schedule an Appointment” link and follow the prompts. From your laptop or computer go to www.followmyhealth.com and click login/signup. From there, follow the prompts to schedule an appointment. You may also call one of our telephone receptionists at 843-774-2478 to schedule your preferred method of telehealth visit.

If you’re not experiencing any symptoms, remember to take precautions as you’re out. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
