Services for Brenda Allen Hopkins were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation was held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hopkins, 71, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River.
Born in Marion County, SC, December 5, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Allen and Nina Johnson Allen. She was retired from DSS after 30 years of service. Brenda’s happy place was living at the beach, and she loved her family.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James “Jimmy” Hopkins of Dillon; daughters, Hope Hopkins Skipper of Hamer, and Wendy Hopkins Breeden of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Matthew Skipper, Haley Harper, Ariel Breeden, Will Breeden, Grace Breeden, and Blair Breeden; brother, Bob (Judy) Allen of Martinez, GA; sisters, Alice Faye Brigman of Latta, and Vickie Allen of North Myrtle Beach; and her special friends that are her second family at the beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Myrtle Beach Fire & Rescue, 1015 Second Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
