Golden Eagles Hand Warriors A Loss

The Pee Dee Academy Lady Golden Eagles handed the Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors a 7-2 loss in varsity softball action played in Mullins on Tuesday, March 26.
Pee Dee Academy managed 5 hits in the game, and Dillon Christian School managed 4 hits in the game.
Dillon Christian School placed a run on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning and held the lead until the top of the fourth inning when the Lady Warriors added another run. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Pee Dee Academy sent 4 runs across home plate to take a 4-2 lead. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Pee Dee Academy tacked on 2 runs and in the bottom of the sixth inning Pee Dee Academy added another run.
Pee Dee Academy’s Gracelyn Hyatt connected for 2 hits and a rbi in 3 at-bats. Lacey Johnson had a double and a rbi in 2 at-bats. Allie Briley was perfect at the plate with a double and a rbi in her 1 at-bat.
Dillon Christian School’s Lindsay Branch had a double and a rbi in 3 at-bats. Alex Heasley connected for a hit in 3 at-bats. Bailey Elvington picked up the win. She pitched 6 innings and allowed 4 hits, 2 runs of which 1 was earned, walked no one, and struck out 4. Madison Bailey was tagged with the loss. She pitched 6 innings and allowed 5 hits, 7 runs of which 2 were earned walked no one, and struck out 2. Dillon Christian School will travel to Wilson today (Thursday, March 28) for a 5:30 p.m. game
