Services for Bobby Alan Rogers were held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Rogers, 80, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his residence.
Born in Mullins, SC, April 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Samuel and Vergie Rogers of Fork, SC.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he was a sunday school teacher, and servant for the Lord.
He also volunteered with Neighbors Helping Neighbors for eight years.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Marie Rogers of Dillon; children, Sherry Rogers of Jackson, Mississippi, Michael (Paulette) Rogers of Dillon, and Ricky Rogers of Myrtle Beach; adopted daughter, Terri Diffy of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jason Thompkins, Sara (Bill) Thatcher, Ali (Jeff) Huggins, Dorothy Rogers, and Chapman Rogers; great-grandchildren, Kahlan Thompkins, Luke Huggins, Riley Huggins, and Camden Huggins; sister, Pat (Guirey) Church of Florence; brother, Dwight (Patricia) Rogers of Florence.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Rogers; and sister, Jimmie Faye Collins.
