The Cheraw Braves hit a sore spot in last Thursday’s game with the Wildcats. They scored first trying to make a statement!
The Cheraw Braves hit a sore spot in last Thursday’s game with the Wildcats. They scored first trying to make a statement! Wrong thing to do! The Cats bounced back and ran 55 unanswered points, 42 coming in the first half. to stop the Braves, 55-7.
After missing a game last week with a hand injury, junior quarterback Jay Lester, came back throwing 3 touchdown passes to Corrian Wright and ran two of his own. He finished the game with 267 yards through the air and totaled 30 more on the ground.
Running back Nemo Squires led the teams 324 offensive yards with 168 on 17 carries and Wright finished with 5 catches for 146 yards. Tyquan King scored two TDs, one rushing and the second a fumble return and Freshman Nigel George also scored a late touchdown.
