DILLON – Leon Bryant Williams, 83, died Thursday, October 18, 2018, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Dillon Church of God Radford Boulevard Campus (Youth and Activity Center), 536 Radford Boulevard, Dillon, SC with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pastor Joe Grice will officiate.
Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Williams was born in Dillon, SC, August 13, 1935, the son of the late Matthew and Sudie Lambert Williams. Leon was an avid fisherman.
He enjoyed working at B & W Auctions where he was the owner.
Mr. Williams was a member of Dillon Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Betty Brown Williams of the home; sons, Michael Williams (Pansy) of Hamer, SC and Danny Williams (Michelle) of Jacksonville, NC; daughters, Debbie Lee (Alan) of Hamer, SC, Donna Gibson (Harold) of Laurinburg, NC and Mary Bohachic (Mike) of Little Rock, SC; brother, D.J. Williams (Cathy) of Dillon, SC; sisters, Shelby Carter of Dillon, SC, Estelle Simar (Johnny) of Iota, LA and Callie Allen of Hamer, SC; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Leon was predeceased by his brothers, R.M. Williams and Donell Williams; sister, Maxine Hayes; and grandchild, John Bailey.
