Services for Virginia Lane will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lane, 81, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Marlboro County, SC, October 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Hattie Nolan Kersey.
Survivors include her children, Debra (James) Hayes, Carl (Pam) Lane, and John Lane, all of Latta; grandchildren, Joe (Laurel) Hayes, Becky Eaker, Carlie and Kyle Lane, and Kelly Lane; great-grandchildren, Cole Eaker, Damian Lane, Jeremey Lane, Preston Clark, and expecting Baby Hayes; brother, Clarence “Coon” Kersey; sisters, Joyce Cook, Shirley Small, Marie Lane, and Sarah Barfield.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Lane; daughter, Wanda Jean Lane; and her brothers, Howard Kersey and J.T. Nolan.
