Jimmy Francis Collins

Jimmy Francis Collins, 73, of Jonesville, NC formerly of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center. He was born November 17th, 1944 to Conway and Annie Collins of Mullins, SC. Jimmy was a natural born salesman. Some might say he could sell ice to an Eskimo. His infectious smile and humorous personality won him a successful career for many years. In 2010, he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given a life expectancy of 1-2 years. However, he beat this milestone and brought us all happiness and laughter for 8 more years.
Jimmy was predeceased in death by his parents, his daughter, Jimilyn Collins, his sister, Grace Brown, and his brother Ronnie Collins. He is survived by his wife, Gayle, of 33 years, a daughter Missy (Paul) Worthington of Florence, SC stepdaughter, Cathy (Michael) St. John of Jonesville, NC, his brother Connie Ray (Marjorie) Collins of Nichols, SC, brother-in-law Larry (Ann) Anderson of Mocksville, NC, granddaughters Meredith Worthington of Florence, SC, Kate St. John and Lindsey St. John of Jonesville, NC and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Jimmy loved the beach and especially the Cherry Grove area where he could launch his boat and fish for days. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. of Saturday, August 25, at 53rd Avenue in North Myrtle Beach (Cherry Grove). The family would like to thank everyone for all the love, prayers, calls and visits.
