DILLON – Peggy Wright David, 88, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Main Street United Methodist Church with interment in Riverside Cemetery in Dillon. Rev. Henry Altman will be officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Peggy was the wife of the late Col. Frank Bethea David, Jr. and the daughter of the late James Duncan Wright and Louise Newton Wright. She was born April 26, 1930 in Marlboro County Hospital in Bennettsville, SC and lived in Clio and Dillon, SC.
She attended Coker College in Hartsville, SC. She ran the Peggy Wright School of Dance for a number of years. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Dillon. She has served as Treasurer of the United Methodist Women. She was a Past-President of the McLeod Medical Center Auxiliary in Dillon.
She is survived by two sons, Frank B. David IV (Carol) Greenville, NC and James Wright David (Stephanie) of Dillon, SC; and three grandchildren, Frank B. David V of Boone, NC, Lindsay David Wilson of Tampa, FL Jessica David Dobbs of Farmville, NC; one great-grandchild, Cadence. She was predeceased by one grandchild, James Wright David, Jr.
