Services for Shirley Jean Haselden Upton were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Shiloh Chapel with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Upton, 66, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, SC, November 3, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Archie Haselden and Margaret Byrd Haselden. She was a member of Shiloh Chapel Church.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gene Upton of Latta; daughter, Leslie (Darryl) Martin of Latta; sons, Jody(Tippi) Upton, Geno Upton, and Chris (Terri) Upton, all of Latta; grandchildren, Kasi (Ethan) Bakazan, T.J. Bourgoin, Jordan (Katelyn) Upton, Kaleb Stroud, Haley Upton, Allison Upton (Jay), Karli Upton, C.J. Upton, Darrin (Ashley) Martin, and Ashton Martin; great-grandchildren, Nathan Huff, Rolland Bourgoin, Casen Upton, Ayden Martin, Lexi Martin, Little Jay Rowell, IV, Kaleigh Upton, and Little Ethan Rylan Bakazan; sisters, Pat Tyndall, Avis Ryals, both of Marion, Marie “Tootie” Hayes (Steve) of Dillon, and Jan Pate of Latta; special sister-in-law, Doris James.
