PHOTO GALLERY: Opening Ceremonies Held For 2017 Dixie Softball State Tournament

Opening ceremonies was held on Friday, July 7, at the City of Dillon Wellness Center for the 2017 Dixie Youth Softball State Tournament.
Daryl Miller was the Master of Ceremonies.
Rev. Matt Adams held prayer.
Mayor Todd Davis welcomed everyone to the City of Dillon.
City Manager Glen Wagner and Councilman Johnny Eller echoed the remarks of the mayor.
A delicious meal was served before #33 Nickie Blue, senior softball pitcher for the University of South Carolina, spoke to everyone. Magician John Tudor entertained all of the 24 teams present.
All 24-teams were recognized.
The softball tournament began on Saturday, July 8. The 2017 S.C. Dixie Darlings results were: Aynor 11-0 over Dillon. Lancaster 11-0 over Bluffton. Walhalla 15-9 over Pamplico. Midland Valley 7-5 over Byrnes.
The 2017 S.C. Dixie Angels X-Play results were: Dillon 8-0 over Georgetown. Lancaster 23-0 over Bluffton. Union County 3-2 over Aynor. Florence 16-12 over Andrews.
The 2017 S.C. Dixie Ponytails X-Play results were: Dillon 9-2 over Florence. Georgetown 7-2 over Aynor. Lancaster 16-0 over Byrnes. Hartsville 16-13 over Andrews.
Sunday, July 9, Dixie Darlings results were: Lancaster 16-5 over Aynor. Walhalla 8-1 over Midland Valley. Bluffton 10-7 over Dillon. Pamplico 12-11 over Byrnes.
Sunday, July 9, Angels X-Play results were: Lancaster 2-1 over Dillon. Florence 15-9 over Union County. Georgetown 9-2 over Bluffton. Aynor 10-0 over Andrews.
Sunday, July 9, Ponytails X-PLay results were: Dillon 10-0 over Georgetown. Lancaster 12-2 over Hartsville. Florence 13-0 over Aynor. Byrnes 7-6 over Andrews.
