Latta Defeats Pee Dee

Latta returned home on Wednesday, June 28, from Florence after defeating Pee Dee 7-1 in Junior American Legion baseball.
Peyton Benton picked up the win for Latta. He pitched 3 innings, allowed 2 hits, 1 earned run, walked no one, and struck out 6.
Powers Rogers was tagged with the loss. He pitched 4 innings, allowed 2 hits, 3 runs of which only 1 was earned, walked 3, and struck out 3.
Pee Dee committed 3 errors in the game while Latta committed 2.
Latta jumped out to an early lead scoring 1 run in the top of the first inning. Latta also added a run in the top of the second inning.
Pee Dee’s lone run came in the bottom of the second inning.
Latta added a run in the top of the fourth inning, and 4 more runs were placed on the scoreboard by Latta in the top of the fifth inning.
Latta’s Chase Mishue connected for 2 hits and a rbi in 4 at-bats while Russell Rogers picked up a rbi in his 1 hit in 3 at-bats. Jackson Powers added a hit and a rbi in his 4 at-bats.
Caleb Rogers and Andrew Walker were both perfect at-the-plate with a hit in 1 at-bat. while Preston Miles and Tyler Warren each garnered a hit in 2 at-bats.
