Jenny Kate Allen Lane, 87, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Elmcroft of Florence. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 3:00 p.m.. at Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church officiated by Dr. Phillip Fulmer. Interment will follow in Old Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the church. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC is assisting the family.
Mrs. Lane was born on October 24, 1929 in Dillon County, SC, the daughter of the late Romie and Ruth Tyndall Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church. Jenny was the widower of Olyn C. Lane. She is survived by her daughter, Merle Lane Hopkins (Joel) of Dillon, SC; grandchildren, Kimberly Hyatt, David Hopkins, Wendy Howard, Kevin Lane, and Keith Lane; twelve great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Lane of Latta, SC. She was predeceased by her son, Glenn C. Lane; grandson, Bradley Allen Lane; three brothers, and two sisters.
