Irene Rogers Hyatt, 91, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at McLeod Medical Center-Dillon.
Funeral services were held 4:00 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Horry County, September 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Boyd Rogers, Sr. and Gracie Powell Rogers. She was the widow of the late Fred Hyatt, was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and the Young at Heart.
Survivors include her, daughters, Susan H. (Steve) Goodwin of Dillon and Teresa H. Houston of Conway; sister, Ozella Hughes of Martinez, GA; brother, Herbert Boyd Rogers, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Bennie Rogers of Easley, SC; special sister-in-law, Geraldine Hyatt; two grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Johnson and Matthew Houston; and onr great-grandchild, Austin Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her son- in- law, Arnold Houston, III; sister, Lorene McElveen.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Young at Heart or to the Kitchen Fund.
