Latta Lady Vikings Return From Marion With Win

Although Marion connected for 13 hits, the Latta Lady Vikings returned home with a 10-4 in victory in a varsity softball game played in Marion on Wednesday, March 22.
Latta garnered 12 hits in the game.
Marion committed 5 errors while Latta committed 2.
Hannah Jackson pitched the complete 7-inning game for Latta. She gave up 13 hits, 4 runs of which 3 were earned, walked 3, and struck out 5.
Macey Waugh was credited with the loss for Marion. She also pitched the entire 7-inning game. She allowed 12 hits, 10 runs of which 5 were earned, walked 1, and struck out 4.
The Vikings’ Madison Owens connected for a home run, a double, and 3 rbi. Kaleigh Caulder also garnered 3 hits including a triple and 2 rbi in her 5 at-bats. Kyra Grant picked up 2 rbi in her 3 hits in 5 at-bats.
Camryn Sawyer also picked up 2 rbi while connecting for 3 hits in 4 at-bats for Latta. Lauren Webster double in her 4 at-bats.
Marion’s Kaitlyn Larrimore and Macey Waugh each connected for 3 hits and a rbi in 4 at-bats. Kearia Crowner picked up a rbi and 2 hits in her 3 at-bats while Todd Madison garnered 2 hits in 3 at-bats. Kaylin Hood also connected for 2 hits in 4 at-bats for the Swamp Foxes.
Latta is 6-5 for the season.
