Latta Lady Vikings
The Latta Lady Vikings came from behind to defeat Andrews 48-40 in varsity basketball action played on Tuesday, January 31, in Latta.
Andrews led 8-4 after the first period.  However, by halftime Latta held a slim 2-point lead, 20-18. By the end of the third period Latta’s lead was cut to only 1 point, 33-32. The Lady Vikings pumped in 15 points while holding Andrews to only 8 points in the final period to claim the victory.
Kadaisha Wheeler led the Lady Vikings with 19 points while Riana Green added another 15 points in the win. DaKiasha Green added 7 points while James connected for 4 points followed by Arica Gandy who contributed another 3 points in the win.
D. McNair led Andrews is scoring with 16 points followed by Brown with 4,  Minton with 6, and J. Minton with 2. G. Wright also connected for a point for Andrews.
Latta is 6-10 for the season while going 5-5 in region play.
Latta will host Mullins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3.

Lake View Girls
East Clarendon defeated Lake View 82-48 in varsity girls basketball played on Tuesday, January 31, in Turbeville.
Talaysia Cooper scored a game-high 30 points to lead East Clarendon in the victory.
Gracen Watts connected for 19 while Caitlyn Timmons hit for 16, Katerria Rose added another 10, and Singletary and Scott each hit for 3 points while Miller garnered 2 points in the win for East Clarendon.
Jasmine Ford scored 24 points for the Lake View Wild Gators in the loss. Olivia McDaniel connected for 11 points. Ford hit for 4 points while M. Wheeler hit for 3 points. T. Wheeler, Blue, and Miller each garnered 2 points for Lake View.
Lake View will host Creek Bridge on Friday, February 3, at 6:00 p.m.

Lady Wildcats
The Dillon Lady Wildcats traveled to Lake City on Tuesday, January 31, and defeated Lake City 63-25.
Dillon never trailed in the game while leading 19-5 after the first period. At halftime Dillon held a 29-point lead. The third period proved to be a better offensive and defensive showing by Lake City as both teams scored 13 points. However, in the fourth period Dillon outscored Lake City 14-5.
Khamele Manning led the Lady Wildcats with a game-high 15 points. Amani Harley connected for 13, and Kyia Bell added another 12 points for the Lady Wildcats. Adoshia Graves hit for 8 points, and Chyna Pouncy connected for 7. NyAshia Campbell and Ja’Rhonda McCrimmon each garnered 4 points, and Tazia Gordon hit for 2.
Dyesha Lee led Lake City with 11 points. Tierra Burgees connected for 6 while Quenesha Singletary hit for 5 points. Jasmine Butler connected for 2 points, and Tyshara Elmore hit for 1 point.
Dillon will host Georgetown on Friday, February 3, at 6:00 p.m.

Wildcats
The Dillon Wildcats varsity boys defeated Lake City 69-66 in a region game played  in Lake City on Tuesday, January 31.
The Dillon Wildcats are 9-2 in Region play.
Dillon will host Georgetown on Friday, Feb. 3.

Lady Warriors

The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors lost to region foe, Trinity/Byrnes School Lady Titans 52-47 Friday night at Warrior Gymnasium. The Warriors are much improved from teams fielded over the past five years and possess a winning record. But the visiting Titans were loaded with talent and held the fight Warriors late rally to secure the win. The Titans held a 19-15 lead at the end of the first quarter and took a 32-21 lead into the halftime break. The Warriors outscored the Titans in the second half but could not overcome the first half. The Warriors added 11 points in the third quarter to the Titans 10 to end the period with the Titans holding a 42-32 lead. The Warriors added 15 points in the fourth with the Titans picking up 10 and a 52-47 over the Warriors. Scoring for the Titans, Ayshia Scott had 16 points, Alex Goodson had ten points, Teal Howle had eight points, Taylor Buchanan had seven points, Bailey Goodson had five points and Connor Frances had four points. Scoring for the Warriors, Anna Thompson had 14 points, Sarah Freeman had eleven points, Lizzie Outlar had eight points, Samantha Carpenter had seven points, Audrey Polverari had five points and Sarah Stone added two points. Warriors

The Trinity/Byrnes School Titans Boys defeated the Dillon Christian School Warriors 49-37 in region action Friday night in Dillon. The Titans were loaded with several tall and talented players that were just a little too much for the Warriors in this game. The Warriors kept it close in the first half but the Titans came out strong in the second half for a convincing region win. The Titans were up 9-7 at the end of the first quarter, taking a 23-18 lead into the halftime break. The Titans added 17 points in the third period holding the Warriors to 13 to give the Titans a 40-31 lead.  The Titans outscored the Warriors 9-6 in the fourth for the 49-37 region win. Scoring for the Titans Marcus Crawford and Lashawn McFadden had ten points each, Mateo Thompson had nine points, CJ Miles and Jack Smith had six points each, Jon Moses and Ryan Frierson added four points each. Scoring for the Warriors, Ross Carlyle had 13 points, Diaz Alexander had ten points, Luke Price had eight points, Tyreke Toomer had three points, John Rourke had two points and Michael Minges added a point from the free throw line.
