Lake View Lady Wild Gators
Lake View Lady Wild Gators’ #10 Olivia McDaniel scored a game-high 25 points in Lake View’s 44-28 victory over Creek Bridge in a game played in Lake View on Friday, February 3.
Lake View led 13-6 after the first period. At halftime Lake View still maintained a 7-point lead, 24-17. Lake View had built up a 19-point lead after 3 periods, 40-21. Creek Bridge outscored Lake View 7-4 in the final period.
The Wild Gators M. Wheeler hit for 6 points while Ford connected for 6. T. Wheeler added 4, and Miller garnered 2.
Creek Bridge’s Sumter and Godfrey each hit for 10 points while James added 6, and Martinez connected for 2.
Lake View is 5-7 for the season and 4-4 in Region 6-A.
Lake View will host Green Sea Floyds today (Tuesday, February 7) at 6:00 p.m.

Dillon Lady Wildcats
The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated Georgetown 56-37 in a varsity basketball game played in Dillon on Friday, February 3.
At the end of a close first period Dillon held a slim 1-point lead, 8-7, over Georgetown. The Lady Wildcats pulled away in the second period to have a 14-point lead at halftime, 24-10. Dillon added to the lead in the third while outscoring Georgetown 20-15 to increase the lead to 19 points, 44-25.
Amani Harley led Dillon in scoring with 12 points followed by Khamele Manning who added 10 points. Ny’Ashia Campbell and Kyia Bell each hit for 8 points while Adoshia Graves connected for 6 points. Tazia Gordon and Ja’Rhonda McCrimmon each added 5 points. Ja’Neequah McCrimmon contributed 2 points in the Lady Wildcats’ win.
Arian Lance, Devideria Anderson, and Alexis Milton each hit for 9 points for Georgetown while Alisha Smith added 4 points. Alyssia Eaddy scored 3 points, Ladasia Denison hit for 2, and Lauryn Olina added another point.
Dillon hosted Loris on Monday, February 6.
Dillon will host Waccamaw  today (Tuesday, February 7) at 6:00 p.m.

Lake View
East Clarendon defeated Lake View 58-45 in varsity basketball action played in Turbeville on Tuesday, January 31.
The Lake View Wild Gators held a 15-11 edge at the end of the first period. At halftime Lake View’s lead was cut to 2 points, 23-21. After 3 periods of play East Clarendon was up by 8 points, 39-31.
Jabari Rose scored a game-high 26 points to lead East Clarendon to the victory while Chris White contributed 14 points. Bryant added 5, Whitehead 4, Fullard 3, and Brown and McFadden each picked up 2 points.
Darius Ford led the Wild Gators with 17 points while James Inman hit for 9 points.Duane “Junior”  Nichols connected for 5 points. Deonte Roberts and Xavier Johnson each garnered 3 poitns. Tristian Goodman also got 2 points.
The Lake View Wild Gators will host Green Sea Floyds tonight (Tuesday, February 7) in a region game at 7:30 p.m.

Lake View
The Lake View Wild Gators came from behind to defeat Creek Bridge 44-28 in varsity boys basketball action played in Lake View on Friday, February 3.
The lead changed many times in the game. Creek Bridge held a slim one-point lead, 7-6, after the first period of play. At halftime Creek Bridge still held a slim 1-point lead, 14-13. After the third period of play Lake View was on top with a slim 1-point lead, 27-26.
Lake View’s Duane “Junior” Nichols led all scorers with 26 points. Delvon Bethea and Emmanuel Williams each hit for 4 points while Tyshawn McDaniel and #23 garnered 2 points each.
The Lake View Wild Gators will host Green Sea Floyds today (Tuesday, February 7) at 7:30 p.m. Support your hometown team.

Latta Ladies
Latta’s Riana Green scored 28 points in a losing effort as the Mullins Lady Auctioneers defeated the Latta Lady Vikings 71-52 in a varsity basketball game played in Latta on Friday, February 3.
Brittani McDonald pumped in 35 points to lead Mullins to the victory.
Mullins led 18-12 after the first period of play.  At halftime Mullins’ lead was 10 points, 30-20. After 3 periods of play Mullins was ahead 50-32.
Auctioneer Nichols added 8 points while Sindab hit for 7. Williams added 3 points, Davis and James each hit for 2 points, and W. Williams connected for 1 points in the win.
DaKiasha Green scored 11 points for the Latta Lady Vikings while Moya McDuffie and James each connected for 6 points. Arica Gandy hit for 1 point in the game.
Latta is 6-11 for the season and 5-6 in region play.
Latta will travel to Dillon today (Tuesday, Feb. 7) at 6:00 p.m.

Dillon Wildcats
The Dillon Wildcats defeated Georgetown 72-47 in boys varsity basketball played on Friday, Feb. 3, in Dillon.
Dillon’s Keenan Norman scored 22 points, and Raheem Flecher added 16 points in the win.
The Wildcats hosted Loris on Monday, Feb. 6.
Dillon will host Waccamaw today (Tuesday, February 7, at 7:30 p.m.

Lady Warriors
Anna Thompson pumped in 16 points to lead the Dillon Christian School Warriors it was not enough to overcome the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles who defeated the Dillon Christian School Warriors 55-36 in varsity basketball action played on Friday, February 3, in Mullins.
The Golden Eagles’ Anna Marie Grice scored 13 points to lead her teammates in the victory.
Dillon Christian School Warriors led 13-12 at the end of the first period.  However, at halftime the Dillon Christian School Warriors were down 7 points, 27-20.  After 3 periods of play the Golden Eagles were up 10 points, 37-27.
Anna Grice Johnson connected for 10 points for the Golden Eagles while Lindsay Martin and M. Martin each garnered 9 points. Esteridge and White each added 2 points in the win.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors Sam Carpenter added 9 points while Lizzie Outlar hit for 6 points. Sarah Freeman added another 3 points for the Warriors and Sarah Stone connected for another 2 points.
Region play will begin this week. Support your local team.

DCS Boys
Although Dillon Christian School’s  Demonte Alford scored a game-high 27 points, the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles won the varsity basketball game 64-55 on Friday, February 3, in Mullins.
Pee Dee Academy led by only 2 points at the end of the first period, 13-11. At halftime the lead was 5 points, 28-23. At the end of 3 periods of play the Dillon Christian School Warriors found themselves down by 6 points, 46-40.
Jake Lane led Pee Dee Academy with 18 points followed by Frank Drew who connected for 12 points. The Golden Eagles’ Carter hit for 8 while Coleman and Je. Lane added 7 points each in the win. Rogers hit for 6 while Martin added 4. Webster also scored 2 points.
Diaz Alexander connected for 8 points for the Warriors, and Luke Price and Michael Minges each hit for 6 points. Jackson Wolfe and John Rourke each picked up 3 points in the final regular season game.

Lady Cats
The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated the Loris Lions 57-46 in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Monday, February 6, to avenge an earlier loss to Loris in a game played in Loris.
The Lady Wildcats led by 12 points after the first period of play, 23-11. The Lions scored as many points as Dillon in the second period of play that enabled the Lady Wildcats to remain 12 up at the half. Dillon outscored Loris 11-4 in the third period to give Dillon a 19-point lead that was cut in the fourth period to 11 as the Lions outscored Dillon 20-12 in the final period.
Armani Harley scored a game-high 16 points, and Khamele Manning added 15 for Dillon in the win.
Kyia Bell and Shimya Sowells each connected for 8 points for Dillon while Ja’Rhonda McCrimmon and Tazia Gordon each added 3 points  while Chyna Pouncy and Adoshia Graves each had 2 points for the Lady Wildcats.
Dillon will host Waccamaw on Wednesday, February 8, at 6:00 p.m.

Wildcats
The Loris Lions defeated the Dillon Wildcats 63-59 in varsity basketball action in a game played in Dillon on Monday, February 6.
Although the Wildcats controlled the opening tip-off, neither team could muster much  offensive scoring in the first period of play as Dillon led 10-7 after the first period of play.
Loris outscored Dillon 25-4 in the second period of play to lead 32-14 at halftime.
At halftime Dillon regrouped and had a better offensive showing in the third period outscoring Loris 27-16.
At one point in the final period Dillon fought to within 3 points of Loris.
The Wildcats outscored Loris 18-15 in the final period but succumbed to the 4-point loss.
Keenan Norman led the Wildcats with 13 points followed by RaKeem Flecher and Ty’Quan Porter who each scored 12 points.
Raheem McClam hit for 9 points while Javier Brookins connected for 5.  Darius Boatwright and La’Jairus Jacobs each garnered 4 points for the Wildcats.
Dillon histed Waccamaw on Wednesday, February 8, at 7:30 p.m.

The King’s Academy of Florence defeated Dillon Christian 56-54 in the play-in game for the SCISA-2A tournament on Tuesday, February 7, in Florence.
Drew Towler pumped up a game-high 21 points  and Phillip Hughes added another 14 for the Lions of Florence Academy in the win.
D. Porter hit for 9 points while C. Porter connected for 8 points. Almar added another 4 points for the Lions.
Jackson Wolfe led the scoring for the Warriors of the Dillon Christian School with 16 points while Diaz Alexander added 13. Michael Minges and Demantez Alford each connected for 11 points, and Ross Carlyle hit for 3.
