Warriors Take On Christian Academy

The Dillon Christian School Warriors defeated The King’s Academy 60-52 in a boys varsity basketball game played in Dillon on Friday, Dec. 17.
The King’s Academy led 13-10 after the first quarter and 26-23 at halftime. However, the Dillon Christian School Warriors took control of the third period and outscored The King’s Academy 18-8 to take the lead.  The Warriors sealed the victory in the fourth period with 19 points scored against The King’s Academy’s 18 points.
The Warriors’ Ross Carlyle scored 16 points to lead his team in the victory.
Demontez Alford connected for 12 points for Dillon Christian.Jackson Wolfe added 9 points, and Diaz Alexander garnered 8 points.  Luke Price scored 7 points, and Michael Minges  had 6 in the win for the Warriors.
Phillip Hughes led The King’s Academy with 20 points. Chase Porter connected for 16 points while David Porter added 11. Almar had 4 points, and Boatwright connected for another point for The King’s Academy.
The teams are on school break and will not play again until January 3 when the Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel to Marlboro Academy. Support your local team.

The Dillon Christian School Warriors defeated The King’s Academy 56-10 in girls varsity basketball action played on Friday in Dillon.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors poured in 19 points in the first period while not allowing The King’s Academy to score. The second period was similar to the first as The King’s Warriors were held to only 3 points as the Dillon Christian School Warriors took a commanding lead of 33-3 at halftime. Dillon managed to score 14 in the third period and another 9 points in the fourth period while holding The King’s Academy to 4 points in the third period and 3 points in the fourth period. Sam Carpenter led the Warriors with 14 points. Sara Bass connected for 9 points while Anna Brown, Sarah Stone, and Sarah Freeman each added 6 points. Lizzie Outlar contributed another 5 points while Audrey Polverari connected for 4 points. Erin Hamer and Caitie Eggert each had 2 points in the Warriors’ win. The King’s Academy was led by Harris with 4 points followed by Blaker with 3, Smith with 2, and Sansbury with 1.
The Dillon Christian Warriors are 5-2 for the season. The Lady Warriors will travel to Marlboro Academy on January 3.
