GROVE TOWN, GA – Grady Sports, Jr., 75, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Latta Southern Methodist Church with interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta is assisting the family.
Mr. Sports was born in Marlboro County, August 5, 1941, the son of the late Grady Sports, Sr. and Josephine Strickland Sports. Grady was self-employed in the home improvement business before his retirement and of the Pentecostal Faith. He is survived by his son, Jerry Sports (Beth) of Piedmont, SC; daughters, Debra DiNicola of St. Augustine, FL, and Kimberly Putman (Maxie); sisters, Barbara Bryant of Harlem, GA, and Linda Bullard of Latta, SC; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sports was predeceased by his brothers, William “Bill” Emerson Sports and Randy Sports; sisters, Betty Clark, Sara “Frances” Sports Jones, and Shirley Herring.
