Gators Defeat Auctioneers

The Lake View Wild Gators defeated the Mullins Auctioneers 54-30 in varsity football action on Friday, September 9, in Mullilns.
This was the first game played between these two teams in a long time.
Lake View got on the scoreboard first with a De’Ante Bridgett score to give the Gators a 6-0 lead.
The Gators’ quarterback Duane Nichols added 6 more points on a 16-yard run to give Lake View a 12-0 lead.
However, the Mullins Auctioneers picked up 6 points when quarterback Ryan Gore completed a 40-yard pass to Xavier Legette. The two-point conversion was good and the lead was only 4 points for lake View.
Lake View senior running back Randall Washington scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter to increase Lake View’s lead 20-8.
Tyshawn McDaniel added 6 more for the Wild Gators on a 50-yard pass from quarterback Duane Nichols.
The Auctioneers connected on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Gore to Camron Bethea.
The first quarter ended with Lake View on top 26-14.
The Gators’ Tyshawn McDaniel picked up the final 6 points in the first half on a 10-yard run.
The Lake View Wild Gators led 34-14 at the half.
Lake View picked up 6 points in the third quarter on a running play and added 6 more points when Xavier Johnson scored on a fumble.
The Mullins Auctioneers picked up 6 points on a 52-yard pass from Ryan Gore tossed one to Tyrie Platt.
Ryan Gore threw for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 50% of his passes.
Lake View will travel to South Robeson on Friday, September 16. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
