The Dillon team took 2 games from Pamplico on Monday, June 27, to capture the Angels’ title in the Dixie Softball District 3 tournament held at the Dillon Recreational Field for the past several days. Dillon won the first game 12-0 and the second game 10-0. Pamplico was the runners-up.
The Dillon team will travel to Hartsville to participate in the state tournament with opening ceremonies to be held Friday, July 8, and the games will begin July 9.
The Dilllon 11- and 12-year old Ponytails Traditional won the the district last week and will travel to Marion for the state tournament to begin on July 15.
The Dillon 18 and under The Debs will travel to Florence to begin play in the state tournament beginning July 8.

Sumter took 2 games from Turbeville also on Monday to capture the title in the Darlings division while Turbeville was the runners-up.
