The Dillon Wildcats varsity football team is hosting teams from the region on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of June in seven-on-seven competition on Dillon’s three adjacent practice fields. Teams from Hartsville, Cheraw, Mullins, Sumter, etc. have participated. Come on out and watch these teams prepare for the upcoming football season.
The Dillon Wildcats will open the season against Mallard Creek on Friday, August 19, in Dillon. You may recall that Mallard Creek took the lead from the Wildcats with 47 seconds left in the game and defeated Dillon 26-21. Mallard Creek went on to win the state title in North Carolina that year. This should be another action-packed thriller before a sold-out crowd.
