The Dillon County Council recognized the State Champion Lake View Academic Challenge Team at a recent meeting.
Coach Daniel Dale spoke about the hours that the team practiced and shared details about their season.
He thanked Councilman Bobby Moody for all he does for the Lake View community. and the council for their support
The council said they were extremely proud of the team.

Congratulating the Lake View High School Academic Challenge Team
and coaches for winning the South Carolina
State Championship of Academics
WHEREAS, The Dillon County Council is pleased to extend special recognition to the Lake View High School Academic Challenge Team on winning the 2016 Division II State Championship Title; and
WHEREAS, The Lake View High School Academic Challenge Team members consists of the following exceptional students: Dia’yah Williams, Brennan Scott, Taylor Tarte, Courtney Dale, Datron Jones, Brent Herlong, Eric Johnson, Hunter Cox, Michael Jiron, Hailey Hayes, Layne Smith, Daniel Dale II, Haley Miller, and Caroline Dale; and
WHEREAS, Coach Daniel Dale and assistant coaches, Brooks Garris and Jeffery Ceasar, worked tirelessly to train a championship team and teach these students lessons that proved beneficial for the competition but also will be invaluable throughout life; and
WHEREAS, Utilizing superior academic knowledge and mental acumen, the Lake View High School Academic Challenge team went undefeated to win the 2016 Division II State Championship Title, its second consecutive title; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Lake View High School Academic Challenge team have proven themselves to be intelligent and knowledgeable and have represented their school, the Town of Lake View and the County of Dillon extremely well;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Dillon County Council, in adopting this Resolution, congratulates the Lake View High School Academic Challenge team on its tremendous accomplishments and wishes its members a bright, rewarding future; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Principal Edison Arnette and Coach Daniel Dale on behalf of the entire Lake View High School Academic Challenge Team.This resolution is passed this 28th day of April, 2016, by the Dillon County Council in a meeting duly assembled.
