Richard Williams, 63, of Latta died on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House of Florence after an illness.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon, directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home and Crematory of Darlington. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon.
Richard was born in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Herbert Williams and Myrtle Garner Cain.
Richard was an avid fisherman and avid NASCAR fan. He loved spending time with his family and will be forever member for his kind smile and loving heart.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Williams of Latta; his children, Angela Raudenbush (Randy) of Fayetteville, NC, Lynn Williams (Andy) of Clarkton, NC; and Ricky Williams, Jr. of Elizabethtown, NC; his step-son, Gene Ivey (Hollie); his siblings, Patricia Jones, Roger Williams, Brenda Everhartt, Deborah Hinson all of Whiteville, NC, and Cynthia Stutts of Albermarle, NC; his grandchildren, Kayla Britt, Sarah Williams, Darrian Ivey, and Kinley Ivey; and great grandchild, Ashland Britt.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents listed above; his grandson, Ashton Britt; and by his sister, Linda Edwards.
