Robert M. (R.M.) Williams, Jr.

Brother Robert M. (R.M.) Williams, Jr., age 72, entered into his Heavenly home on Monday, January 18, 2016, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
 Born in Marion County, SC, on December 23, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert M. Williams, Sr. and Sudie Lambert Williams. He retired from the Dillon Provision Company after 25 years of dedicated service as a long distance truck driver. He attended the Dillon Church of God.
R.M. was a devoted and faithful Christian who enjoyed worshipping his Lord and Savior. In the early 1970’s, he was involved with the Dillon Church of God bus ministry.  He enjoyed fishing the Little Pee Dee River for redbreast with his sons and other family and friends. He was a true family man who was devoted to his wife, children and granddaughter, and loved his in-laws and extended family as though they were his own.  He was an avid football fan, and especially loved following the Clemson Tigers and the Dillon Wildcats. He will be remembered as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
 He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Kay Williams of their home in Clio; by sons, Ricky M. Williams and wife Amanda of Clio and Mark E. Williams and wife Sara of Clio; and by his precious granddaughter, Miranda Williams of Clio; by brothers, Leon Williams and wife Betty of Dillon and D.J. Williams and wife Cathy of Dillon; by sisters, Shelby Jean Carter of Dillon, Estelle Simar and husband Johnny of Iota, LA, and Callie Allen of Dillon.
 A Memorial Service to celebrate his life washeld 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Burroughs & Cooper Funeral Home officiated by Bishops Joe Grice, Joey Williams and Brother Bobby Flowers. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.  They are also receiving friends anytime at the residence, 2563 Hwy. 381 S. in Clio.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; by a son, Johnny Williams; a brother, Donnell Williams; a sister, Maxine Hayes;  by his mother-and father-in-law, Richard and Katie Ethelean Norton; and by brother-in-laws,Bill Norton, Billy Carter, Roy Allen, Jimmy Hayes, Ervin Bryant Norton and Clarence “Cheese” McLaurin.
