Services for Marion Ray Carter weree held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Carter, 87, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Allen Thomas Carter and Mary Perritt Carter. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict, was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church, and was retired from Wix.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Mishue Carter; daughter, Peggy Carter Webster (Ronnie);grandchild, Dr. Krysta Webster Fink (Jonathan); of Blackburg, VA., grandchild, Ron Webster (Ashley) of Dillon; great-grandchild, Jocelyn Maddox Webster.
