Services for Larry Vance Lane, Sr.were held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Lane, 77, died Wednesday November 25, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Marion County, SC, August 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Sam and Ora Taylor Lane. He was a member of Bethesda Southern Methodist Church, Mackey Lodge #77 AFM, and was the coordinator for Community Watch in Oak Grove, amd was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his daughter, Alishia A. Lane of Rincan, GA.; sons, Larry Vance Lane Jr. and Dennis M. Lane of Latta; brothers,Gene Lane of Latta, Charles Lane of Raleigh, N.C., Edward Lane, Derwood Lane, Leo Lane, and Glen Lane of Latta; grandchildren, Jason Lee Lane, Leslie Corrie Lane, Dennis M. Lane, Jr., Danielle Kayla Lane, and Aidan Lane; great grandchild, Amanda Lane.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin A. Lane, his brothers, Billy Lane, David Lane, and Harold Lane; his sister,Katherine Heatley.
