Local Efforts Launched To Help Flood Victims

Dillon County residents and others have launched efforts to assist the flood victims in our state.
Here are the ones that we have been informed about:

Dillon County is collecting bottled water, diapers, toiletries and non-perishable food items to be delivered to Columbia to help those who have been affected by the flooding.
We will be collecting ONLY water, non-perishable foods, diapers and toiletries at the Dillon Christian School gym from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Anything dropped off after 3:00 PM will not be accepted at this time. We will stay in contact with Salvation Army and other charities and may have a second event as they request, however only items received by 3 will be delivered. A truck will be at the school at that time for collection and delivery.

The DHS Red Cross Interact Club DHS Red Cross Interact Club will be collecting donations of  cases of bottled water and cash in support of flood victims in SC. Other items will be used for area burned families. Please bring donations to Dillon High School.

Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) today announced that his Pee Dee District Office and Grand Strand District Office will serve as water donation locations. Constituents who would like to donate bottled water to South Carolinians in need can deliver water between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. through Friday, October 9, 2015 to:

Latta Town Administrator Jarett Taylor would like for people to donate canned food, blankets, and games for children to the town hall. Small containers of hand sanitizer is also welcome.
