Red Cross Installing Fire Detectors

The Dillon County Disaster Preparedness Agency, with the assistance of Dillon Fire Stations and American Red Cross, will be giving away and installing smoke detectors in parts of the community October 3.  The American Red Cross has donated these smoke alarms for fire prevention.  They notified residents of this event by placing door hangers at homes on September 26.  They will be giving/installing smoke detectors to those residents in the selected Fire Station #4 jurisdiction.  Smoke detectors will be installed in other areas in the county on later dates.  This project is being supported by American Red Cross, Dillon County Disaster Preparedness Agency, Dillon County Fire Stations, Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD), Dillon Sheriff Dept., Mount Calvary Baptist Church, and Outreach Family Fellowship.
