Services for John Alan “JJ” Martin, Jr. were held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5th at Union Baptist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Martin, 27, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.
Born in Dillon, SC, May 16, 1988, he was the son of John Alan Martin, Sr. and Phyllis Kay Johnson Martin. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, and attended the Dillon Church of God. He was an active member of Freedom Ministries.
Survivors include his wife, Lyndsey Daniels Martin of Latta; son, John Alan Martin, III of Latta; father, John Alan Martin, Sr. of Latta; mother, Phyllis Kay Johnson Martin of Latta; sister, Chelsea Martin of Latta; half-brother, Joey Alan Hunt of Dillon; grandparents, Carolyn & Andy Griffin of Florence; Deans Johnson (Jean) of Latta; aunt & cousin, Denise & Mikey Moore of Latta.
JJ was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bernice Price Johnson.
