Women’s Day Held At McCoy Chapel

The United Methodist Women of McCoy Chapel UMC in Little Rock held its Women’s Day program on Sunday, July 19.  The theme was “Women in Mission Called to Serve.”  Guest speaker was Rev. Lois Bright of Hamer Church of God.  Rev. Bright’s enjoyable message was empowering and encouraging.  Her topic was  “How to Keep Going and Going and Going When You are Called to Serve.”  Her Scripture was Acts 20:24.  To serve, we have to act as a servant, render assistance.  No one can run in the Christian race unless you gave your life to Christ.  Stay in your lane and be committed.  God will take your mess and turn it into a message. Clara Stewart and Gloria Rogers, members of the Spiritual Choir, were selected to receive the United Methodist Women Special Recognition.  They were selected because of their making a difference in sharing their music with others, and will be presented a certificate and gold pin from the SC Conference of United Methodist Women.
South Carolina Marion District Officers attending included Jane Crawford, President; Druscilla Leach, Membership and Nurturing; Barbara Manning, Education & Interpretation; Christine McCoy, Dillon Cluster Leader; and Miranda Manning, Historian.  Barbara also serves as local President of United Methodist Women at McCoy.  The Pastor is Rev. Ronald I. McCall.
