Deltas Celebrate Founders Day

Dillon-Marion County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated celebrated its Founders Day Sunday morning, March 22, 2015. The Sorority worshipped at New Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Dillon, South Carolina, where the Rev. Frankie D. Thomas is the pastor.
During the service activities the New Faith Praise Team provided soul felt music and the pastor gave an inspiring message centered on the theme: “Be ye Holy, because I’m Holy.” The pastor and congregation recognized the Deltas with praises and applauses. Mrs. Carrie R. Bethea and Ms. Daisy Crawford presented the pastor a token of love from the Sorority.
Diverse and creative celebrations unfolded throughout the Delta Sisterhood as the chapter commemorated the birth of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The courageous 22 Founders’ vision planted a sapling on January 13, 1913 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. As a public service organization, the lives of others are enhanced throughout the world.
Members of the chapter are from Dillon and Marion counties.
